Energy Giant TotalEnergies Extends Sciforma PPM Use to Exploration & Production
Paris (July 20, 2021) – Project Portfolio Management (PPM) software editor Sciforma today announced that the company has signed a three-year contract with the Exploration and Production (E&P) division of TotalEnergies SE, which is one of the world’s top five energy companies. TotalEnergies’s E&P division covers oil, gas, solar, renewable, and bioenergy.
TotalEnergies was already using Sciforma’s PPM solutions for RFM (Request for Modification) in the UK, the Netherlands and Qatar. The E&P contract for Sciforma’s PPM and SPM (strategic portfolio management) platform was awarded after a successful six-month pilot in TotalEnergies’s Deep Water product line.
“The challenge for TotalEnergies was to more efficiently centralize the different E&P product lines in a high-performance project management and resource allocation solution, from the discovery through execution phases,” explained Stéphane Louit, Head of Global Sales at Sciforma. “The Sciforma solution enables all the TotalEnergies exploration studies to be integrated on a common but customizable platform, making them more efficient and responsive to client expectations.”
Across a large international project portfolio, TotalEnergies E&P takes great pride in safely delivering projects on time while ensuring low technical costs. Integrated project organization combines geosciences, drilling, facilities and operations engineers, all of which are fully accountable for project deliverables and deadlines.
The contract includes Sciforma’s implementation services and support, as well as an interface for measuring customer satisfaction. Furthermore, under the terms of the contract, other divisions in the TotalEnergies group that want to contract with Sciforma for PPM and SPM solutions will be able to do so at the same rate as the E&P division.
